Somewhere in New York was this great café which served the most delicious food - and lots of it as only the Americans can do!

Sam's place

On the Greek Island of Lesvos in a village called Eressou is Sam's Place where, on a hot summer evening, we sat and ate outside on the edge of the village square. You can see Sam standing just inside the doorway.

Great food, great company and great memories!

Coffee and Cake

There's this cute little cake and coffee café at one of the entrances to the Sony Center at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, Germany.

You can eat, drink and watch the world go by.

We sell sea shells in Sharjah

A traditional café equipped with a families only section, where locals roam in the emirate Sharjah, the UAE. It is beautifully made of blocks of shells and coral (looking like bricks). Try saying the title really fast 6 times!

Squeazzze Pleazzze!

Our waitor in a Cornice Café in Alexandria, Egypt came out with a tray of freshly squeezed fruit juices in all kinds of combinations. I had my favourite lime & mint.

Castle of Dreams

In Alexandria on the corniche, "Qasr al Ahlaam" stood fairly empty outside due to the cold january winds. I loved the meaning of the Arabic name; castle of dreams.

On the streets of Cairo

Should you be walking down the old Khan al-Khalil Market in Cairo, take a seat at one of the streetside cafés made of plastic chairs and a small table and order mint tea. If you are lucky, musicians might stop by. We booked them for an hour at the price of a CD and listened to classical Arabic songs by Abdel Halim Hafez and Umm Kalthoum, two of Egypt's most famous singers.

An Aix-ellent Café

Although I make a point of buying coffee every week at the grocery store, I seem to end up at LatteLand nearly every day on the way to work! It's nice to walk in and everyone seems to know who you are!

No one brave enough

It was -13°C on this day in the Schwarzwald (Black Forest) in Germany.

No one was keen enough to sit on the snow-covered terrace, but we did stand there and sip hot raspberry tea.

It is probably not news for anyone that Lipton is a HUGE brand in the gulf (and the world in general of course). This however manifests itself differently depending on where you are. In Oman every coffee shop ironically had Lipton branded all over it...

Every home is a Café in Bosnia. No matter whom you meet, whether you know them or not, expect a cup of kahva. Sarajevo in particular has a very old tradition of handpounded coffee, only found in one family run store in the old quarters.

The world's tastiest freshly made lemon ice tea can be found in this café in Sarajevo. The concept of the Café is to host a small book shop together with a coffee shop and you find Sarajevo's youth and tourists browsing the book section and later cooling down with an icy drink after a very hot day.

Hey guys, I am cheating a lil and putting a pic of food rather than the place. But, I have a good reason.

My husband and I have been blessed with a sweet baby boy on June 17th (Father's Day), by the grace of the Almighty all is well. The baby Candy Jr. is doing well and so am I - in fact I am jumping with sheer joy!

A place called cafe digital at Burjuman Center, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The colors are bright and the atmosphere is digital, wide screen TVs, WiFi internet and the works.
