While in Florida.....

......Don't think twice about "doing" the southern most part of Continental United States: Key West..it's a little off the way but you won't regret the trip to the island (it's crowded and totally touristy but has its own appeal, nevertheless). And while there don't forget to gorge upon Key West shrimps, Key Lime soda and Key Lime pie (the genuine one) apart from mango-coladas and conch fritters..........I can go on and on :)

Cowgirl Bar New York

When in New York be sure to visit my favorite Bar & Restaurant: Cowgirl. The lamps are made of antlers, the walls are decorated with kitsch and tons of Wild West photos including a Cowgirl Hall of Fame, the frozen margaritas are served in gigantic mason jars and the yummy food is sure to help you gain weight!!

When in Rome...

Get on a train (and a ferry or a bus) and go to Positano instead! ;) On the Amalfi Coast, but not quite as crowded as Amalfi or Sorrento (though still not exactly abandoned). Also, save your euros by staying in a youth hostel. For 20-ish euros a night, you still get to wake up to a view like this. Taken from the balcony right outside my hostel dorm room. Bellissima!

Because life is a cycle

When you come to Amsterdam grab a cycle and check out the exciting centrum, red light district and canals. Macbike is the most popular place to find your ride...

Queen's Day party, Amsterdam

April 30th is Queen's Day in Holland - when we all party like rockstars...definitely worth checking out if chilling out and having crazy fun is your kinda thing!
P.S. Don't forget your hideous orange item of clothing...
P.P.S.: The pic is of the party at Museumplein in 2007 - we were there big baby belly and all and this year my little one will be joining us :)

Keukenhof, you will be amazed!

What's so special - it is just a garden? ...You will be pleasantly surprised with this very special place on Earth. Keukenhof gardens are only open for approximately a month during the Summer and well worth a visit if you are coming all the way to Holland!

Park Guell

Barcelona, Spain

Any trip to Barcelona, should definitely include a few hours spent in Gaudi's Park Guell. The Bus Touristic really is the ideal way to see Barcelona, which is a very large, sprawled out city. Hop off at the Park Guell, and see the famous Serpentine Bench made with mosaic tiles. You can also see Gaudi's home, and enjoy an afternoon snack just relaxing and people-watching.

Cool Off in Cassis, FR

Harbor in Cassis, FR

Cassis is one of those delightful French towns, offering colorful buildings, a slew of restaurants, and boats that can take you for a trip around the Calanques. If ever in Southern France, this is a wonderful little town to stay the night in.

When in Rome...

...do not miss having Pizza at the most popular pizza place (among locals) in Rome, near Piazza Navona. Pizzeria Da Bafetto was a famous meeting place for the radicals of the 1960's. Situated on Via del Governo Vecchio 11, a pizza when I went there in 2004 would set you back roughly 6-8 Euros! (Cheap!)
