Swedish Treats

There have been so many holidays overlapping each other the past weeks. Eid ul Adha, Christmas, Hannukah and New Years.

Although we don't celebrate christmas, the traditional Swedish baking that is done is very much part of our yearly routine. We fill the table and stomach with lussebullar (saffron buns), knäck (a kind of fudge with hazelnuts), kokosbollar (chocolate oatmeal balls covered in coconut) and pepparkakor (ginger bread cookies), to name a few. Stockholm, Sweden.

  5. OMG- i love kokosbollar! my friend got the recipe and made them for me in germany. seriously mouth-watering. and, because they're made of oatmeal, you can totally convince yourself that they're not THAT bad for you (just forget all the butter).
