lol really? Even in india and pakistan they are part of military shows and weddings :)
And did you know...sweden has its very own kind of bagpipe....its very very small and sounds amazing. I need to find some good old swedish folk music to put up on the blog.

I must confess that it wasn't until I lived in Dubai that I came to know that the bagpipes were instruments not only played in Scotland!

Oh yeah - I knew about the Indian and Pakistan military playing bagpipes, but I just thought that this was part of the British Raj legacy!
