The New Jersey Turnpike is iconic - though I don't really know why - and has a place of honor in the opening sequence of "The Sopranos" (I think). So, being a West Coast girl and having heard so much of it in the movies and on TV, I was pretty excited to get my first glimpse of the freeway signs pointing the way to The Turnpike. Apparently, people who live along the toll road identify themselves by their exit number. Hey, whaddyagonnado, right?
i would love to find out why it's so popular ...but yes it's supposedly iconic!!!

ReplyDeleteI confess that I have sort of missed the hype around the sopranos as well as LOST, 24, Ugly betty...etc. I am so not "in" I know... lol
