nana's soul kitchen..

my grandma is from sudan but she moved to israel at the age of 16.. this is the opening scene of every morning when she starts to cook for us.. i love my nana.. look how every morsel is so lovingly pealed and prepared..

  1. Hi Lirun's nana! I have to say these days, when I compare myself to my grandma and look at the different ways in which we handle food I realise that there is far from as much soul in the cooking and handeling of food.

  4. I hear ya, actually I was just watching a program from Melbourne about the slow food movement...NZM look for Di Macdonalds's Rubarb...she's from Melbourne. I immediately thought of you. Apparently she is famous in Oz for that.
