A little Tea House

Guest Post: Miki Noguchi

Taken in Kyoto, Japan at a little tea house inside a plum tree garden. They give you a pack of powdered plum tea, which is actually pretty salty, and it’s DIY with the cups and water. They also give you sugar candies and sweet rice wafers to eat with the tea – a really yum combination, though the tea is a bit of a shock if you don’t know it’s supposed to be salty! I didn’t!

  1. Wow sounds exquisite, Never had plum tea, forget plum tea that's sour. Thanks for sharing.

  2. It was a really nice treat on a cold day. But salty tea- I think you might say it's an acquired taste for sure. The sweets were good with the tea though. :)
