View from Château Royal de Collioure, France
Collioure's Royal Castle, lighthouse, and lovely sea views were inspiration for artists such as Matisse
during the early twentieth century.
According to Matisse, "No sky in all France is more blue than that of Collioure."
beautifully captured, Waldo.......i love open windows for the vistas they offer :)ReplyDelete
reminds me of the movie A Room with a A View - even though that was set in Italy!ReplyDelete
I love Matisse! George Pompidou hosts some of his work. Beautiful shot!ReplyDelete
Thank you all! Yes, it does remind one of a Room with a View, doesn't it? In Southern France, it's impossible to take a bad photo! :)ReplyDelete
