Darkness is Light

Pulau Weh, Aceh, Indonesia.

I took this photo at 1 am in a very dark night, leaving the camera shutter open for 64 seconds. The result was this - the photo absorbed a lot of light, showing more details than the naked eye could see. Just a little light can show so many details, so much beauty...

Because there is no such a thing as 'darkness': darkness is but the absence of light. Amazing what we can do with just a little bit of light, a little bit of hope, to shatter the darkness of despair... it just takes some patience and work!
