I never really pictured Istanbul as a snowy city. That naturally didn't stop the snow from falling during a "I-missed-my-connecting-flight-to-Cairo-transfer" I had a few weeks back. A crowd of media and spectators gathered near the Sultan Ahmed mosque commonly known under the name Blue Mosque which due to the weather became more of a Grey Mosque.
