One of the ceremonies of the Mehndi is for the bride and groom's family and friends to come on stage, dip their fingers in oil and place it on their hair (or in the case of a hairless groom, the head will do :) then dip in turmeric paste and place that on the face, often the cheeks, dip in henna (mehndi) and place it on their palm and finally feed them with methai (sweets). In this Mehndi in Stockholm, Sweden they preferred using candy and fruit! Well why not?

Dipping & Pasting
