Hunger vs. Police repression
In March 2006, violent student demonstrations in Paris prompted the Police to effectively occupy the Sorbonne University (and its courtyard, and to barricade the surrounding shops...).
Alexandre Duclos, a 23 years old philosophy student, decided to demonstrate against this by undertaking a hunger strike. He slept in a tent across from his Uni and only drank Ice Tea.
(For french speakers, Indymedia had a nice article about him).
