Jebel Hafeet

This rocky mountain is what one might call the Grand Canyon of the UAE. Perhaps not as grand however the 1240 metre high rock in layered textures and colours is a must-see if visiting the UAE. About 1,5-2 hrs drive from Dubai, the view from the top is worth every second in the car.

  2. Miki - ha!

The road up Jebel Hafeet is just awesome - a 3 lane twisting and curving highway with enough lighting to make it daylight during darkness.

About a year or so ago, a British motoring magazine rated the Jebel Hafeet road as one of the best driving roads in the world.

The reason why it's so good? There's a palace at the very top which belongs to one of the sheikhs, so of course the road is the best that money could build!
