Jazz is for Everyone!

It was a warm winter thursday night in New Orleans, Lousiana, when Kermit Ruffins (right) played at his jazz club. Kermit is one of the musicians who refused to leave NOLA after Hurricane Katrina hit the city, destroying entire neighbourhoods and displacing large segments of the population.
Thursday nights are also when amateurs can join Kermit on stage for an impromptu jam session. And while playing their addictive music, they also painted, unknowingly, a portrait of how Jazz transcends age, gender, or race.

It was just another warm winter night in New Orleans.

PS: Happy ONE THOUSANDTH post, Global Themes!!
