Hurricane John in Cabo

The beach at the hotel where I stayed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. At the end of that trip, Hurricane John lightly touched the area. Regardless of hurricanes, the beaches on the Pacific side of Cabo are not swimmable because they have serious undertow risks, but the waves got even bigger and the tide even higher during the hurricane. Normally you can you can climb over the low part of that cliff to a beach on the Gulf-side.

  2. thanks!

the architecture was sort of adobe-like. the rooms were huge - though a little 1970s. we had a suite in the back tower, so unfortunately not beach front, but that was okay because it meant we didn't have to worry about being evacuated from our room.

there was a pool right by the beach with a pool bar and a thatched roof - again, all very 1970s, 'Loveboat.' also, very fun and vacation-y.
