Holiday hijinks

I'm not sure what this sport is supposed to be - he's standing on a surfboard and using a paddle to push himself around, but he looks like he's having fun. On the right, you can see some surfers patiently waiting (and they waited a while) for a good wave. The wind and waves were a little too calm for the surfers that day in Laguna Beach, CA.
