Dressing the Bride

Guest Post: Miki Noguchi

Kimono dressing is traditionally a man’s job.
But I guess the times they are a-changing at Meiji Shrine in Tokyo. This man and woman are helping to adjust this bride’s kimono for her wedding photos. She just got married in a traditional Japanese Shinto ceremony.

  3. I'm so glad you liked it! I always take my visitors to this shrine on sundays because that's the big wedding day, so there's always something going on. needless to say, i've got lots of japanese bride pics! they're just always so happy! i like taking pics when they're not posing for their real photos, because they're not supposed to smile in those. but in between those shots, i get the ones where the new husband and wife are smiling and excited that they just got married. it's so sweet!
