Coolest Library Design

Seattle's Central Public Library opened in 2004 and is a dramatic design concept of glass and steel.

Filled with light, different colors to represent each floor, and a "books spiral" (gradual slope of about 2 degrees winds through the four floors of book stacks), all make the interior design of this public building cutting edge.

Great slideshow of this modern marvel: Seattle Library Photos.
