Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

The kids were with us for a hot summer in the UAE and we took them into the desert for them to see it. I stopped our 4x4 for them to get out and run up a small sand dune.

They raced out of the car and halfway up the dune, before coming to a screaming halt as they realised that the sand trickling into their sandals was a gazillion degrees.

The air was punctuated with screams of pain as they ran back to the car where J and I were sitting and chuckling sadistically in airconditioned comfort!
