One of the grandest and the most beautiful buildings we got to see at Antwerpen, Belgium was the minute we alighted from the train : The Central Station. We reached at midnight when the station was deserted and felt like it was a part of some royal welcome to the city.

ReplyDeleteRailway stations around the world are seriously some of the most beautiful buildings, have you thought about that? Even in Pak/India, some of the very old ones are beautiful buildings.
ReplyDeleteAgree. I have a beautiful shot of Grand Central Station in NYC which is on CD back in NZ. Now that we're going to be closer to NZ while living in Oz for a while, I'll have to get my parents to dig out all my old images for Global Themes!

ReplyDeleteSS, NZM : Very true..some of the most beautiful bldgs i have spotted in nondescript towns of India are the railway stations ..Only i never had a camera back then!!! :(
