  1. Now that is a familiar sight, I don't know how many days have been spent just relaxing in the Umayyad Mosque and I usually sat opposite the mausoleum were all the blind men sit.

  2. Is the glass green, or is it the interior lights?

  4. As a matter of fact, the glass is light green but most of the colour comes from the light inside the mausoleum, which is bright green..

The whole mosque is really beautiful, and perhaps what struck me the most was how there were no blocking barriers between women and men... And the mosque is so large there is even room for kids to play around... I know that Shaykhspeara would understand: I fell in love with the place! :)
