Leaf in the current.

I watched this leaf for several minutes, wondering whether it was going to sink or not. It didn't. Something managed to keep it afloat, until the tide took it afar.

I envied it for managing to remain afloat. But I was afraid whether the price for being able to remain afloat was to let yourself be drawn by the current..

  1. I like how one leaf floating on water can inspire such a train of thought.

    Sometimes it seems that the price to pay for staying on top of things is to go in directions you perhaps don't necesserily wanna go in.
